SYNOPSIS:

Isabelle finally gathers courage to leave her abusive husband, and with the help of a network dedicated to aid abused women, she secretly leaves her hometown of Chicago for the remotest of places; Dutch Harbor, Unalaska; a small fishing town by the vast Bering Sea.

Cut off from the rest of the world and her old life, Isabelle feels like she has come to the end of the world, in every sense of the expression. She struggles to adjust to her new life, until she by chance encounters Gustaf, a fisherman no one in town really knows anything about even though he has lived in Dutch Harbor for years.

Without realizing it at first, Isabelle and Gustaf gradually and unintentionally grow closer to each other; two broken souls who long since have given up any hopes of finding comfort or love from another person. Gradually they realize that even in the harshest of environments, love can still find a spot to grow.
